Mr. Sam Fok is a professional life & health insurance broker. He started his practice in 1989. He is the holder of a life &
health insurance agent’s licence issued by the Financial Services Commission of Ontario. At the same time, he is the holder of an
insurance broker’s licence issued by the Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario. He is the owner of Fok's Insurance Agency, a division
of 1216251 Ontario Inc.
After his graduation from the Hong Kong Baptist College (currently known as
the Hong Kong Baptist University), Mr. Fok completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA)
degree at Dalhousie University in Canada. He served in the business world for more
than 10 years. He then joined Tyndale Seminary in Toronto and completed a Master of Divinity
(M.Div.) degree. Currently Mr. Fok is enrolled in the divinity school of Regent University
in the United States pursuing a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min) degree. While actively serving
as an insurance broker, Mr. Fok obtained several professional designations, including Chartered Life Underwriter
(CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (Ch.F.C.), Chartered Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Financial Services Broker (CFSB), Registered
Health Underwriter (RHU), as well as Registered Insurance Broker (RIB).
Mr. Fok is well versed in life insurance, health insurance,
travel insurance, retirement planning and annuities. He is more than happy to provide professional services to his clients. Honesty
and integrity are the most important qualities that Mr. Fok emphasizes.
Mr. Fok has been a Christian since he was a child. He
was baptized in 1965 at the Kowloon City Baptist Church in Hong Kong. In 1983, he migrated to Canada and joined the Richmond Hill Chinese Community Church (a
member church of The Association of Chinese Evangelical Ministries Canada [ACEM]) and served there for many years as deacon, head
of the missions department, Bible study leader, Sunday School teacher, fellowship counselor, etc. A few years ago, ACEM planted a
church in Mississauga and Mr. Fok was sent to serve there for five years as one of their core group members. Recently, ACEM planted
another daughter church, Niagara Region Christian Community Church, in Niagara Falls, Ontario, and Mr. Fok was sent again to assist
in this pioneering ministry.
Besides actively serving in the local church, Mr. Fok serves on half time basis as Ministry Director
of The Association of Chinese Evangelical Ministries Canada. He also serves as volunteer board member in para-church organizations
such as GO International Canada and Toronto Chinese Christian Short-term Mission Training Centre.
Together with his wife, Eliza,
Mr. Fok makes his home in Toronto, Ontario. He has three lovely daughters, Alice, Joyce, and Nancy, who are pursuing doctorate and
baccalaureate degrees at different universities in the U.S. and Canada.
